This lookout is in a new part of Springfield Lakes, with a great view of the surounding area, and also the city skyline Masdenia Coronala commonly known as the Slender Milkvine, is a listed vulnerable plant species. scattered popilations occur over a 250KM rang from the Gunalda Range, noth of Gympie, south to the Great Divinding range near Killarney.
The vine was discovered in the Tea Trees Cillage area during an Ecological survey in 2010, Of the 65 plants identified in the area all were translocated and taken to a local nursery for care. Today the Marsdenia's final resting place is here, at the Marsdenia Lookout, where it will live out its life amongst the understory of the remmant eucalypts.
Our Lady of the Southern Cross (OLSC) Parish serves the people of the greater Springfield area of south-west Brisbane. As one of the youngest parishes in one of the fastest-growing areas in Australia, it is home to many young families and is enriched by its diverse multicultural community.

This is a perfect trail for those just getting in to the hang of bush walking that don't feel comfortable straying too far from civilisation but also want to experience some peaceful bushland.
This fantastic expanse of shaded green hugs the lake in the centre of Springfield Lakes township, with a picnic pavilion down on the waterfront, barbecue tables further up the hill and a cute little pre-schoolers playground that is fully fenced. The playground is woodchip floored and features a mock-up row boat, swing, some rocking animals and a climbing structure with wheels, ladders and slides.
For something a bit more challenging in wheeling /walking distance on the far corner of the lake on the other side of the bridge is another fenced play area that features a snazzy climbing web. A path that circumnavigates the lake runs through the park - great for beginner bikers.
